European Ocean Days - Bringing the blue to the spotlight
The Mission Ocean and Waters Forum always takes place during the European Ocean Days, an exciting week full of Mission Ocean and Waters events in the heart of Brussels.
This year, we brought the blue to the spotlight with activities focused on the sustainable blue economy, fisheries science, actions under the Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters, blue investments, marine knowledge, and dialogues with key stakeholders, including youth. In this 2025 edition, the Ocean Days have been a key component of the preparation of the Ocean Pact, a reference framework for all EU ocean-related policies.

3rd Annual Forum
The Mission Forum of Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters took place on 4 March 2025. It showcased innovations, discussed funding, and examined the Mission’s future role in EU priorities like the Ocean Pact.
2nd Annual Forum
The second edition took place on 5 March 2024 in Brussels. The forum looked back at the Mission’s progress and major achievements in mobilising the community towards the goal of protecting our ocean and waters. The forum also prepared the ground for the next phase of the mission moving from demonstration to deployment.

During the first edition of the Annual Mission Ocean and Waters Forum, attendees had the opportunity to get inspired by innovative approaches to restore our blue planet, grow their network and learn how to be part of the Mission community.
