The role we all play in realising the Green Deal
The European Green Deal stresses that the transition towards sustainability must be just and inclusive, put people first and bring together citizens in all their diversity.
This requires ambitious cross-cutting actions to engage and empower people and communities and to support behavioural, social and cultural changes, wherever this is most needed for a fair and inclusive transition.
The Knowledge and citizens working group
The Knowledge and citizens working group comprises 16 projects from six different Green Deal Calls. The projects focus on the role of citizens in the implementation of the European Green Deal and address issues including behavioural change, inclusion and empowerment of citizens to collaborate towards reducing GHG emissions and air pollution in and around cities. They also include actions that focus on enabling citizens to act on climate change and for sustainable development through education and civic engagement.
