Climate change is having a significant global impact on people and the environment. It is vital that we reduce that environmental impact and consider how we adapt the way we live and work to the changes in the climate that have already occurred.
The Climate change and biodiversity working group
The Climate change and biodiversity working group comprises 17 projects from four different Green Deal Calls. The working group projects focus on mitigation and adaptation to climate change and the preservation of biodiversity.
As part of the working group, the projects cover:
• The prevention and management of wildfires
• The preservation and restoration of biodiversity in natural ecosystems, including coastal, water landscapes and forests
• Climate change adaptation and mitigation (with a highlight on urban areas).
