The European Green Deal is the Commission’s pathway to make Europe the first climate neutral continent by 2050, with a sustainable economy that leaves no one behind.
To support the realisation of this objective, the European Commission launched a Horizon 2020 call for research and innovation projects that respond to the climate crisis and help protect Europe's unique ecosystems and biodiversity.
Further to the call, the European Commission established the Green Deal Projects Support Office, which is providing coordination and support to the 73 innovative projects that were selected as part of the call. To enable Green Deal projects to benefit from networking, knowledge exchange and common capacity-building activities more easily, projects have been brought together into five working groups.
