The European Commission’s annual flagship research and innovation event brought together policymakers, researchers, stakeholders, and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond through key policy debates, funding and networking opportunities, and dedicated workshops.
This fifth edition took place during the Research and Innovation Week on 20 and 21 March 2024, both in Brussels and online, allowing everyone to get involved from anywhere. The event provided an opportunity to debate how we can make Europe greener, fairer and more competitive under a common narrative: a 40-year journey through the Research and Innovation Framework Programmes.
Attendees at the event discovered successful EU-funded research and innovation projects, learnt about their impact on our society and discussed the importance of continued investment in research and innovation.
A number of the Green Deal Projects Support Office team were in attendance with our stand, including Ivona Malbasic, who was part of the discussion panel exploring the R&I dimension of the European Green Deal. At our stand we had productive conversations with visitors interested in finding out all about the Green Deal Projects Support Office how to collaborate with the projects we support. Overall, it was a great turnout, with a mix of visitors from universities/academia, other projects and initiatives.
