The Green Deal Projects Support Office in collaboration with LEAP-RE are collaborating to hold an insightful peer-to-peer session in May. This invite-only online event supports the exchange of knowledge and synergies within clean energy, provides a learning experience and transfers knowledge on strategies for training and capacity building, community participation, and more!

The Green Deal Projects Support Office in close collaboration with LEAP-RE, is committed to organising peer-to-peer meeting sessions between Green Deal Call (GDC)-funded projects and other similar projects financed through relevant EU programmes.

The session aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge and synergies, create learning experiences and transfer knowledge on specific topics from more mature projects (or other informed stakeholders) to newer ones.

After the first phase of scoping and screening, the main focal topics of interest for the GDC projects, on which they would like to learn from the Local Communities and Capacity Building Cluster projects, are:

1. How to best assess the real needs of site-specific local communities (considering the strong heterogeneity at regional and country levels)?
2. How to best approach training and capacity building sessions for the local community?
3. How to encourage active participation and representation of local communities in decision-making processes and in monitoring and evaluation systems?
4. How to support policy makers to increase awareness and involve local communities in decision-making processes?
5. How can training and capacity building actions favor/amplify social-economic benefits for local community?

The Peer-2-Peer session will bring together experts from these various projects, and will be held on 7 May 2024 at 11.00-13.00.

Note: The event is by invitation only but you can find out more about it here
