AURORA's upcoming open event, 'Higher Education Schools and Energy Communities Workshop', aims to address the perceived barriers preventing universities, higher education institutions, and schools from engaging in community energy schemes. By bringing together academic leaders, policymakers, and energy experts, the session will showcase successful models where educational institutions have actively contributed to the energy transition. Attendees will gain insights into overcoming legal and technical complexities, leveraging community engagement, and ensuring financial sustainability. With keynote addresses from DG Education and DG Energy, the event will outline EU policies supporting such initiatives, while interactive workshops and expert panels will provide practical solutions. By the end of the session, participants will leave equipped with the knowledge and strategies needed to implement community energy projects within their institutions, ultimately reducing energy costs, fostering local investment, and promoting sustainability.
Please note this is an open event but there is a limit of 300 attendees.
