Description
Objectives
The funding initiative aims to support the manufacturing of innovative clean-tech components in Europe, fostering advancements in hydrogen production/consumption, renewable energy, and energy storage.
The activities eligible for funding encompass the construction and operation of manufacturing facilities producing components for various renewable energy installations such as photovoltaics, concentrated solar power, onshore and offshore wind power, ocean energy, among others.
By supporting the validation and optimisation of manufacturing facilities, the programme will indirectly contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions associated with maritime activities, in line with efforts to promote sustainable practices in ocean-related sectors. In addition, advances in energy storage solutions and carbon capture technologies could have applications in maritime transport and offshore industries, contributing to reducing emissions and promoting sustainable practices in ocean-related activities.
