Description
Under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, Upper Austria supports projects in the field of inland fisheries.
Objectives:
The funding includes the following:
- Investments on board, in fishing gear, hygiene, health and environmental/climate measures (climate protection and adaptation to climate change), such as replacement or modernisation of equipment, gear, engines and improving energy efficiency;
- Investments to promote the diversification of inland fisheries (e.g. through tourism, gastronomy, expansion of the product range) and the direct marketing of fishery and aquaculture products (e.g. farm shops, online shops, etc.);
- Innovations, in particular through partnerships between a recognised scientific or technical body and a fishing company, for example to optimise the selectivity of fishing gear.
Eligible applicants:
- natural people;
- legal persons, provided that the participation of local authorities does not exceed 25%;
- partnerships registered in the commercial register, provided that the participation of local authorities does not exceed 25% and
- their associations (hereinafter referred to as associations of persons), provided that the participation of local authorities does not exceed 25%;
Applicants need have an establishment in Austria, which are active in the production, processing or marketing of fishery and aquaculture products or related areas in Austria and which pursue a project in accordance with the objectives of the programme.
Budget:
The funding is granted as a subsidy towards the eligible costs of investments and may not exceed the upper limits set out in the EMFAF programme Austria 2021 – 2027:
- The subsidy for eligible investment costs amounts to 40%.
- The investment amount per project must be €4,000 .
- The upper limit of eligible costs is €75,000 per farm and funding period (2021-2027 including the phase-out period).
- The replacement or modernisation of a main or auxiliary engine is only eligible for aid for boats with an overall length of up to 24 metres and the new or modernised engine must not have a higher power, expressed in kW, than the current engine.
- Vehicles are not subsidised.
