Description of the funding initiative
Bpifrance is a French public investment bank dedicated to financing and supporting business development in France and other countries. They offer a range of solutions, including those relevant to Mission Ocean and Waters objectives.
- Industrial Accelerator of the Sea II – Support programme designed to accelerate the environmental transition of businesses in the shipbuilding, nautical industries, marine services, offshore, and renewable marine energies through training, consulting, and sector meetings (funded by the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty)
- Support for Decarbonising the French Maritime Sector – Establishment of an endowment fund to accelerate the decarbonisation of the French maritime sector across all fleet segments and to advance the technological maturation of innovative solutions. This initiative aims to reduce ships' energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions, and more broadly, their environmental footprint (funded by CMA CGM)
- Overseas Territories Investment Grant – Programme to fund investment expenses aimed at reducing the environmental impact of businesses in the French overseas territories, aligning with the Strategy Overseas 5.0 objectives of reducing waste, pollution, and carbon footprint (funded by Bpifrance).
