Description
The Mission of the AlgaeProBANOS project is to accelerate the development of sustainable and innovative algae-based products in the Baltic and North Sea. This will help make the EU a world-leader in algae product development, and to support coastal societies and local economies.
Their call to apply to their Algae Accelerator intensive mentorship programme is open until 20 December 2024. They are looking for enterprises as beneficiaries of the mentorship programme and mentors.
Objectives:
Through the Algae Accelerator intensive mentorship programme, mid-caps, start-ups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in the algae industry will be matched with an expert and be provided mentoring services to accelerate product development in the algae sector. The programme will help these enterprises address business, techno-economic, marketing or industry-specific challenges. Ten solutions will be selected for this open call.
Proposals under the call shall involve a challenge indicated in the Application guidelines, and the impact of the solution must be aligned with the specifications of the selected challenges.
Eligible applicants:
For innovation vouchers, single applications are welcomed from SMEs/start-ups or consortia applications of two to three SMEs/start-ups.
Mentors are experienced business professionals, sustainability advocates or industry experts.
Eligible countries are the 27 EU Member States and their outermost regions and Horizon Europe-associated countries according to the updated list published by the EC
Budget:
Up to EUR 10 000 for mentors.
Duration:
The intensive mentoring programme takes place over six months and done in three sprints. The first sprint is from February to March 2025, the second sprint from April to May 2025, and the third sprint from June to July 2025. The end of the programme is expected in August 2025.
