To support the realisation of the European Green Deal, the European Union is funding 73 research and innovation projects to accelerate a just and sustainable transition to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.
The Green Deal Projects Support Office was established to support the projects funded under the Green Deal Call and to help facilitate collaboration, share best practices and increase their impact.

About the European Green Deal
The European Green Deal provides the basis for a set of transformative policies across Europe’s economy and society, as well as the revision and update of a range of strategies and instruments already in place to make them fit for progressing towards the objective of climate neutrality by 2050. To achieve the ambitious objectives, the European Green Deal includes a variety of elements: clean and affordable energy; zero pollution; resource-efficient building and renovation; the preservation and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity; a healthy and environmentally friendly food system (‘Farm to Fork’); and sustainable and smart mobility.
Projects
The European Green Deal projects are mobilising the EU research and innovation community to develop solutions that respond to the climate crisis, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, provide more protection to Europe’s biodiversity and habitats under threat, and accelerate a sustainable socio-economic recovery, leaving no one behind. Over €1 billion is being invested in 73 projects that will contribute to accelerating a just and sustainable transition to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

Working Groups
The objective of the Green Deal Projects Support Office is to work with the 73 projects that received substantial investment as part of the European Green Deal funding call, to raise awareness of the projects and facilitate collaboration, networking, and knowledge sharing.
The five working groups are Climate Change and Biodiversity; Clean Energy; Urban Environment and Mobility; Food and Health; and Knowledge and Citizens.
