About the EU Blue Parks Community

The EU Blue Parks Community is made up from national and regional marine and environmental agencies, researchers in marine conservation, sea basin organisations, NGOs, international bodies, donors and sustainable investors. The Community aims to identify and address challenges, share tools, solutions and good practices, as well as promote innovative approaches across the EU sea-basins. The overall objective is to protect 30% and strictly protect 10% of EU sea areas by 2030.

The workshop on 7 March takes place following a successful first event in December 2023. It will be an important opportunity for community members to meet in-person for the first time as a group, engage directly, share insights, and deepen their involvement. Discussions will touch on a range of aspects of effective management of marine protected areas, including coastal and other land-sea interaction protected areas. More information on the agenda and invited speakers will follow.

Mark your calendars for a day of enriching exchanges, innovative ideas and collaborative strides towards effective marine and coastal protection.
