Description

The call is part of the Italian EMFAF 2021-2027 Programme and aims to support actions that align with the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork strategy, and the Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. Specifically, the actions under this call contribute to achieving Macro-objectives 1, 2, and 3 of the National Strategic Aquaculture Plan. The focus is on promoting sustainable, competitive, and economically viable sectors of fishing, aquaculture, and processing.  

Objectives: 

  • Optimization of Water Resource Management: Improve water management practices for inland aquaculture. 
  • Integrated Aquaculture and Synergies: Encourage integrated aquaculture and the combined use of spaces and systems that offer environmental services. 
  • Investments in Competitiveness and Sustainability: Support investments to enhance the competitiveness, sustainability, profitability, and resilience of aquaculture enterprises. 
  • Promotion of High-Compatibility Aquaculture Systems: Promote aquaculture systems with high environmental compatibility. 

Information on activities eligible for funding are provided in the project documentation.  

Eligible applicants:  

Micro and Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Aquaculture Sector. Applicants must have their registered office or operational headquarters in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.  

Budget:  

The maximum eligible expenditure for each beneficiary is EUR 1 000 000. Individual applications for projects with expenditure amounts less than EUR 10 000 will not be eligible.  

Duration:  

The programme has a closure date of 31 December 2029. Expenses must be incurred by a beneficiary and paid for the implementation of operations no later than this date.
