Description of the funding initiative
The Normandy Programme FEDER FSE+ FTJ 2021-2027 has the following seven priorities:
- An innovative economic transformation
- An energy and ecological transition
- Sustainable multimodal urban mobility
- Enhancing cultural and tourist heritage
- Sustainable development of territories
- Raising and adapting skills
- A fair transition in the Seine and Bresle valleys
Specifically related to the Mission Ocean and Waters objectives, priority 2, objective 2.6 is for a transition towards a circular economy, and objective 2.7, aims to improve the protection and conservation of nature and biodiversity (terrestrial and marine) and to strengthen green infrastructure, especially in urban areas, and to reduce all forms of pollution. Examples of actions included under objectives 2.6 and 2.7 are:
- Objective 2.6: Modernisation and optimisation of waste treatment facilities to treat the region’s waste, including recyclables, bio-waste, construction and public works waste, etc..
- Objective 2.6: Observation, knowledge, steering and coordination actions on a regional scale in waste prevention and management and the circular economy.
- Objective 2.7: Management of biodiversity reservoirs aiming at improving their conservation status, notably Natura 2000 sites, natural reserves, lands of the coastal conservatories and natural spaces.
- Objective 2.7: Restoration and/or reconstruction works of ecological corridors necessary for a functional green and blue infrastructure.

Rules on co-financing
Co-financing rates range from 60% to 70%, depending on the priority. Consult the Regional Programme document for more details.
