BlueMissionAA and MPA Europe are excited to announce the Marine Protected Area (MPA) Awards. This initiative, operating within the framework of the EU Mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030," seeks to honour and engage with outstanding MPAs actively contributing to the mission's objectives.
Managers of marine protected areas can complete an application form before midnight on 26 February. Furthermore, in order to take part, MPAs will need to endorse the Mission Ocean and Waters Charter. The first step in doing so is to simply complete this form.
What’s in it for the winners?
The MPA Awards will recognise two winning MPAs with a range of benefits, including an Award Certificate presented by esteemed figures within the Mission Ocean and Waters community during the 2nd Annual Forum. Additionally, winners will receive enhanced visibility and promotion of their conservation efforts, networking opportunities, as well as access to valuable resources such as ocean literacy tools, stakeholder engagement platforms, expert advisory services and investment opportunities.
The winners will also have their travel and accommodation expenses covered to attend the award ceremony in Brussels.
