Mission Ocean project SHORE introduces the Mission Oceans Helix – a new initiative dedicated to raising awareness of ocean literacy and empowering students as agents of change.
The new platform unites experts from academia, education, and training in the blue economy, water, marine ecosystems, and related fields. The platform will drive impact, leverage resources, and facilitate knowledge dissemination. With the help of this new tool Mission Oceans community will be able to support the broader Mission Oceans goal to enhance the health and sustainability of our oceans and waters.

More about SHORE: Empowering students as agents of change
SHORE is an EU funded initiative that strives to increase ocean literacy by engaging students and teachers to implement Mission Ocean objectives through activities and collaborative projects in schools. SHORE partners craft training and educational materials and courses in line with blue curricula for schools located in the Baltic Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Danube River, and Rhine River. The project awards grants to schools to support the implementation of their blue projects. SHORE also serves as a comprehensive resource hub and a bridge between researchers, local stakeholders, and schools in the regional areas. Find out more about the project here.
