Description
Clean-ups of marine litter, whether on the beach or on the seabed, are fundamental strategies employed within MarLitCy to enhance awareness regarding the origins, reasons, and consequences of marine litter. Throughout the clean-ups orchestrated by the collaboration, the globally acknowledged Ocean Conservancy clean-up protocol is applied to document the gathered marine litter. The information obtained from these clean-ups has been integrated into the interactive Marine Litter Database. The CleanSwell App is available for directly uploading data during the cleanup.
