Description

This report explores the process of building an effective network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in Irish waters. This network will enable Ireland to meet its 2030 commitments to protect at least 30% of the Irish Maritime Area by 2030, with the best possible outcomes for nature, climate, and people. The analysis identifies areas of interest based on their importance for biodiversity, sensitive, and rare species and habitats.
