Description of the funding initiative
The mission of the French Fondation pour la recherche sur la biodiversité (Foundation for Biodiversity Research) mission is to support research and to help those involved to take action. It raises funds from public and private partners to invest in projects of scientific excellence, and these projects are developed within the foundation’s programmes.
The FRB focuses on ten sectorial areas, which are biodiversity and transformative change, biodiversity status and trends, biodiversity and agriculture, soil biodiversity, biodiversity and oceans, biodiversity and climate, biodiversity and health, biodiversity and linear infrastructures, biodiversity and energy, biodiversity and regulation.
