Description of the funding initiative

The Programme ERDF/JTF 2021-2027 Saxony-Anhalt focuses on ten specific objectives: 

  1. Developing and expanding research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies (ERDF); 
  2. Exploiting the benefits of digitalisation for citizens, companies, research institutions and public authorities (ERDF); 
  3. Increasing the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and creating jobs in SMEs, including through (ERDF); 
  4. SMEs, including through productive investments (ERDF); 
  5. Promoting of energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (ERDF); 
  6. Promoting adaptation to climate change and disaster prevention and resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches (ERDF)  
  7. consideration of ecosystem-based approaches (ERDF) 
  8. Promoting sustainable, multimodal urban mobility as part of the transition to a CO2-neutral economy (ERDF); 
  9. Promoting integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental local development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security outside urban areas (ERDF); 
  10. Enabling regions and people to better understand the social, employment, economic and environmental impacts of the EU's transition to a climate-neutral economy by 2050, with specific direct support to businesses to create and safeguard jobs and mitigate the expected transformation effects of the lignite phase-out (JTF).
