Description of the funding initiative
The Programme ERDF 2021-2027 Saarland is divided into five specific objectives:
- Developing and expanding research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies;
- Increasing the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and creating jobs in SMEs, including through productive investments;
- Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions;
- Developing smart energy systems, grids and storage systems outside the trans-European Energy Network (TEN-E);
- Promoting integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental local development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and safety outside urban areas.
