Description of the funding initiative
The Programme ERDF 2021-2027 Bavaria is divided into five specific objectives:
- Developing and expanding research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies (including measures related to non-university research infrastructure, technology transfer from universities to SMEs);
- Increasing the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including through productive investments (including measures related to inter-company training centers to secure skilled workers for SMEs, investments by SMEs and internationalisation of SMEs);
- Promoting energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (including measures related to energy efficiency in state infrastructures, energy efficiency in municipal infrastructures, energy efficiency in SMEs);
- Promoting adaptation to climate change and disaster prevention and resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches (including measures related to bioeconomy production facilities, flood protection and geohazard information map, safety measures against gravitational mass movements);
- Improving the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution (including measures related to green infrastructure and remediation of industrial sites and contaminated sites).
