Description
The Adriatic Ecological Observing System ECOAdS tool represents a ground-breaking initiative which integrates existing ecological and oceanographic research and monitoring with the Natura 2000 protection strategy in the Adriatic Sea. It concentrates on the regions falling under the jurisdiction of Italy and Croatia, thereby enhancing the protection status of Natura 2000 habitats and species. This contribution is particularly significant for sites lacking management and monitoring plans, which constitute the majority of areas involved.
