Description

DaWetRest (Danube Wetlands and flood plains Restoration through systemic, community engaged and sustainable innovative actions) is seeking to 

collaborate with 6 progressive Associated Regions from the 4 Mission Ocean Lighthouses that align with their dedication to environmental stewardship and innovative approaches. 

Objectives:  

Associated Regions will collaborate with the project to demonstrate the feasibility, replicability, and scale-up potential of innovative solutions for wetland ecosystem restoration and conservation developed in the DaWetRest project. The aim is to empower Associated Regions to develop their own roadmap, plan, or project designed to restore freshwater ecosystems within their jurisdiction. Technical assistance from the project consortium will further enable the preparation of implementing the planned restoration and protective solutions. 

Eligible applicants: 

Eligible beneficiaries for this call are local and/or regional authorities from Member States and associated countries eligible to participate in the Horizon Europe Programme. Countries that are part of the consortium and thus cannot participate are: Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. Associated Regions may be represented by individual organisations or a consortium. 

Budget: 

The grant each Associated Region can apply for is up to EUR 75 000. 

Duration: 

Project implementation from 01 September 2024, and project end on 31st May 2027.
