The new PSF Country in Czechia has launched with the aim of providing external advice and operational recommendations to the country's authorities on reforming the Czech technology transfer offices (TTOs) sector, taking into account internationally proven best practices.
The PSF Country will cover the following elements:
- Analysis of the needs that TTOs should address and identification of the current gaps and underperformance in meeting those needs.
- Identification of the tools to be used by policymakers for optimising the functions and performance of the TTOs, as well as their local and international linkages.
- Definition of the appropriate institutional settings, roles, and functions of TTOs in various organisations within the Czech technology transfer environment.
- If relevant, recommendations on the possible establishment of a central technology transfer authority, including the definition of its role and competences.
- Identification of the areas and means for cooperation between TTOs and regional innovation centres in the technology transfer process.
