ICT solution: Green deal and digital transformation technologies

The National Centre for Research and Development from Poland (NCBR) aims to develop new solutions related to green deal and digital transformation technologies that will answer the specific needs of public institutions in their internal operations and tasks (implementation of policies and regulations).

The topics initially identified focus on:

  • District heating and heat and power plants: a need for new heating plant technologies basing on Renewable Energy Sources (excluding biomass) for municipalities, 
  • Heat pumps/heating systems for buildings: a need for new technologies of effective heat pumps of various scales for different types of buildings,
  • Energy storage: a need for new technologies for electric energy / heat and cold storage systems for buildings, or for district heating systems,
  • Technologies for biogas/biometan and waste management: new technologies for biomethane plant basing on municipal waste, effective and odourless biogas/biomethane plant basing on various agricultural wastes, 
  • Building construction: new technologies for superstructures for buildings in cities and urban areas, new materials basing on wooden waste, 
  • Agriculture: greenhouse basing on Renewable Energy Sources, water retention in agriculture.
