Support to Greece in the implementation of PSF Country recommendations

Following the Policy Support Facility (PSF) Country review of the 28 Greek national research infrastructures (NRIs), carried out between December 2021 and October 2022, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Christos Dimas, requested support of the PSF in implementing specific recommendations.

The purpose of the PSF Open Greece will be to provide expert support to define “implementation plans” for three PSF Country recommendations:

  1. Development of a general framework for performance-based funding of NRIs, as referenced in recommendation 4.1.2 of the PSF Country Report “Develop a medium-term, performance-based funding framework for NRIs”.
  2. Development of a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect the role of Research Infrastructures (RIs) in the national R&D system, as referenced in recommendation 4.1.5 of the PSF Country Report “Adopt a set of key performance indicators that reflect the specific role of RIs in the national R&I system”, and a methodology for their implementation.
  3. Guidelines for open science and digitalisation around which NRIs should further develop their data policies and connect with national and European research data platforms, as referenced in recommendation 4.2.5 of the PSF Country Report “Enhance open science and FAIR research data management capacities of the NRIs”.
