The aim of the twin policies “Industrial Research Funds“ and “interface activities“ is to strengthen the interaction and collaboration between higher education institutes and the economic and social actors in Flanders (Belgium).
The funding for both instruments has to support the valorisation of research based academic knowledge in industrial and social applications via collaboration with industrial partners or by founding spin-offs, in order to achieve economic and/or socio-economic impact and return.
