This report presents a detailed examination of the varied roles played by different stakeholders in the process of industrial decarbonisation, encompassing enterprises, governments, and community groups.
The Thematic report focuses on the lesson learned from the Topic 2b meeting in Vienna on research talents, capacity building and intersectoral mobility for knowledge valorisation. The report highlights the need for fostering intersectoral mobility to bolster innovation in Europe.
This report explores the building blocks constituting a policy-mix for the effective uptake and deployment of low-carbon technologies. It focusses on design and potential impact of national support programmes and initiatives, alongside industrial decarbonisation and demonstration projects across varied funded programmes. Furthermore, the report explores diverse financing instruments and examines the mobilisation of public and private research and innovation investments for climate neutrality
Knowledge networks connect people and organizations to share, create, and value knowledge. They can grow from local communities to national ecosystems.
This Discussion Paper explores how knowledge networks can create more disruptive innovation and bridge knowledge gaps. It also examines the processes and conditions that facilitate knowledge sharing and creation in networks.
The summary article presents the outcomes of the Mutual Learning Exercise on R&I Foresight. From August 2022 to October 2023 participated countries collaborated to develop recommendations aimed at enhancing their R&I foresight systems. These recommendations focus on identifying and sharing best practices for establishing foresight capabilities, executing foresight projects, and leveraging foresight for the development of R&I policies.
The Discussion Paper focuses on knowledge valorisation intermediaries. The document summarises the rationale behind the role given to knowledge valorisation intermediaries in an open ecosystem, maps and analyses the landscape of established intermediaries, identifies the main policy challenges, and characterises new approaches and models adopted by conventional and novel intermediaries.
This Final Report assesses the current state of institutionalised R&I foresight and offers a plan to strengthen it in government. It highlights successful R&I foresight practices in the EU and participating countries, using these examples to guide the creation of a handbook with customized tools for R&I foresight in various policy contexts. The Report suggests collaborative efforts between Member States and the EU to improve R&I foresight in government, with a focus on futures literacy and related foresight studies as crucial elements.
This thematic report explores issues related to the application of foresight in the design and implementation of Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) and Mission-Oriented Innovation Policies (MOIP).
The report explores the relevance and role of the concept of disruptions in foresight with a focus on its application as a driving force for the twin transition framework.
