Green Deal Projects Collaborate at Seas to Skies Conference

The Seas to Skies Conference, held on 3–4 December 2024, at Brussels Airport and Antwerp, brought together five EU Green Deal projects—STARGATE, OLGA, TULIPS, PIONEERS, and MAGPIE—focused on greening airports and ports. Attended by 250 participants, the event highlighted innovative solutions, such as electrified ground-handling equipment and cleaner fuels, addressing shared challenges in reducing emissions while maintaining competitiveness.

Speakers, including EU policymakers and industry leaders, emphasized collaboration as key to advancing sustainable practices. Funded with €125 million under Horizon 2020, these projects leverage EU support to drive impactful innovations and inspire further public and private investment. The projects reaffirmed their commitment to creating a lasting legacy, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable transport network across Europe.
