The ECF4CLIM project recently showcased its progress at an international workshop held at the University of Lisbon, bringing together educators, researchers, students and sustainability experts from across Europe. The event highlighted how education can play a central role in driving climate action, with a strong focus on building sustainability competences that address today’s environmental and social challenges.

Attendees were introduced to the project’s key achievements, including a comprehensive sustainability competence framework, a practical roadmap, participatory methodologies, and a range of educational tools and digital resources designed for schools and universities. Through real-world examples and interactive sessions, the workshop demonstrated how collaborative and hands-on approaches can help move beyond individual behaviour change towards broader, systemic transformation in education.
