This interactive map shows demonstration projects in and around Europe on technologies that can play a key role to make energy-intensive industries climate-neutral. They are in the most promising fields for low-carbon technologies: electrification, green hydrogen integration, carbon capture utilisation and storage, circularity and energy efficiency.
Data are based on the report Scaling up innovative technologies for climate neutrality published in June 2023, and have been updated since then.

Map legend
The technologies have been demonstrated in plants in the chemicals, cement, steel, glass, paper, ceramics industries or in oil refineries and most of them have been funded by the EU (through Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020 and the Innovation Fund).
The objective of the map is to easily identify where demonstrators are located and which group of technologies they concern. It aims to help accelerate the transfer of clean innovative technologies and to identify projects that could receive further public and private funding in view of the commercialisation of their technologies.
We invite you to navigate the map using the filter options to select relevant countries, groups of technologies, and industries.
