Teresa Geidel (she/her) works in the field of water and environmental governance and is particularly interested in socio-economic behaviors and incentives that support or hinder the protection of natural ecosystems.
As a researcher for Fresh Thoughts Consulting, she was involved with projects on measures for supporting aquatic ecosystems and sustainable water management and river restauration. In a study on the baseline for the EU mission "Restore our ocean and waters by 2030", Teresa has conducted interviews with project leaders in the Danube Region, to understand how ongoing projects contribute to the missions’ targets as well as water literacy in the region. She holds an MA in Public Policy with a focus on Governance from Central European University, Budapest and a Bachelors degree in Integrated Environmental Science (Renewable Energy Technology and Policy) from Jacobs University Bremen.
