
Nicolas Tinois is working in the bioeconomy department of the project management Jülich, a funding agency commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).
After coordinating a European Research Area Network on sustainable agriculture for food and non-food systems, he was sent for a 18-month mission to the German Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) until end of last month. There he took the Chairmanship, together with co-Chairs from Denmark and Spain, of the newly created Strategic Working Group on Agroecology under the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR). This group is responsible for preparing a future ambitious EU-research partnership on Agroecology, Living Labs and Research Infrastructures under the EU Research Framework Programme Horizon Europe. Back in Jülich, he will further have this leading role in the preparation of this partnership on behalf of Germany and in particular, both mentioned ministries.
