I led negotiations within the Parliament. Horizon 2020 becomes the Union\u2019s main contribution to reach this ambitious goal.\u003Cspan style=\u0022font-size: 13.0080003738403px; line-height: 1.538em;\u0022\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u2018After the long and difficult negotiations, the final agreement, on the EUR 80 billion budget at the service of European research and innovation during the next seven years, was the best deal possible with the Council.
